T-21st Finish For Perez At Farmers

A Monday finish proved to be a grind at Torrey Pines on Monday morning and in the end, a T-21st ending for Pat Perez. Picking up where he left off, PP kicked things off on the thirteenth hole and earned a five on the par five.

Trouble brewed on the par-four fourteenth where Perez flew the green and put it in the canyon, taking a drop and closing the hole with a double bogey.

Perez responded with a par on the fifteenth, but earned a clutch birdie on the par-three sixteenth, the birdie putt rolling in from the rough.

Still, the shot of the day came on fifteen when sent his drive wide and pulled a shot-of-the-tournament second shot, putting it over the trees and sailing it over the trees and onto the green. Two putts later, a world-class par was in the books.

A bogey on seventeen proved to be a set-back, but a balls-out second shot on eighteen fell short of the green and into the water. A drop and a chip by Perez left a great par putt for a final round 74.

Next up, back to Phoenix for the Waste Management.
