Perez Gearing Up For TPC Summerlin In Vegas

Pat Perez is coming off of a missed cut at last week’s Open in Napa, California but is back in action for this week’s Shriners Hospital For Children’s Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.

Perez has been a constant staple at the Vegas event over the years and has had general success, but missed the cut by two strokes last fall—going 72-70 over two rounds.

From there he spent the weekend dialing things in with new swing coach Drew Steckel on the range at TPC Summerlin and righting the ship at the CIMB Classic in Malaysia and then Mayakoba for the OHL Classic.

Tee times have been announced for this week’s event, with Perez getting another late/early draw. He’ll go off of No. 10 at 12:45 p.m. PT on Thursday and off of No. 1 at 8:01 a.m. PT on Friday—paired with Brendon de Jonge and Kevin Kisner both days.

TPC Summerlin is par 71 measuring 7,255 yards and opened in 1991. According to this week’s media release, “The course meanders through arroyos and canyons leading to a four-hole closing stretch packed with risk/reward – the drivable par-4 15th, the par-5 16th, the water-lined par-3 17th and a strong par-4 No.18.”

This year’s Shriners Hospital For Children Open will be on Golf Channel from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT Thursday through Sunday.
