NTO Tee Times & Perez’s History At Riviera

Pat Perez is in the Pacific Palisades this week preparing for his fourteenth consecutive year at Riviera Country Club, dating back to what was once the Nissan Open and is currently known as the Northern Trust Open.

Perez is coming off a solid week at Pebble Beach, where he went 66-68-68-68 en route to a T4th finish. He opened Sunday’s round of the famed AT&T pro-am with birdies on six of his first eight holes, struggled at the turn and tacked on one late bogey as he and his partner Michael Lund brought home the team trophy and 42-under.

Riviera has been a bit of a mixed bag for Perez over the years. After making eight consecutive cuts dating back to his rookie season in 2002, Perez missed in 2010 and 2011. His best finish at the event was eighth outright back in 2007.

The other finishes; 75th (2014), T51st (2013), T13th (2012), T30th (2009), T36th (2008), T77th (2006), T58th (2005), T74th (2004), T32nd (2003) and T32nd (2002).

Per the norm, Perez enters this week’s event coming off five consecutive tournaments. West coast born and bred, Perez alway starts his season in Hawai’i and plays Palm Springs, San Diego, Scottsdale, Pebble Beach and Los Angeles, before taking his first off-week of the year.

Tee times have been announced for this year’s Northern Trust Open, with Perez again getting the early / late draw that always seems to be his fate at Riviera. Thursday’s round tees off at 7:01 a.m. PT on No. 1 where Perez will be teamed with Ricky Barnes and Bernd Weisberger. Friday’s go-time is 11:41 a.m. PT where Perez will start on No. 10.

Golf Channel will provide coverage all four days, while CBS will pick up the weekend action, running from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT both days.

Perez is currently 44th in FedExCup standing, jumping up from 77th after last week’s run at Pebble Beach.
