Tee Times Announced For John Deere Classic

PGA Tour professional Pat Perez is back in action at this week’s John Deere Classic. Perez participated in last week’s Greenbrier Classic and was five-under after two, but a plus-five third round brought him back to even and earned him a MDF.

Perez enters this week 62nd in the FedExCup standings and 120th in the Official World Golf rankings.

Perez’s history at the John Deere and TPC Deere Run has been spotty over nine events.

Missed cuts came in 2013, 2011 and 2007, twice Perez withdrew (2012, 2006) and twice he sat the event out (2005, 2003—the former a result of finishing fifth at the Cialis a week prior and earning a spot in the British Open.)

Perez’s strongest finish came as a rookie 2002, when he finished fourth. Outside of that, the results have been middle of the road; T39th (2010), T30th (2009), T66th (2008) and 66th (2004).

Perez has been working intensely with coach Joe Mayo over the past three weeks. The two spent all weekend on the range at TPC Potomac after a missed cut at the Quicken Loans National and worked together at Greenbrier before dialing back in this week in Silvis.

Mayo, a social media enthusiast, posted video of Perez’s swing on Tuesday, with the following caption regarding a freeze-framed still of his pro’s set-up: “Getting it done at the Deere. Pat has never looked better at this point. I’m excited for the future.”

Perez goes off No. 1 at 7:10 a.m. on Thursday and No. 10 at 12:25 p.m. on Friday. He’ll be paired with Richard Lee and Scott Langley both rounds.
