Perez Wraps PGA Tour Fall Series At Mayakoba

Pat Perez is taking his talents south of the border for one final PGA Tour fall series event—the OHL Classic at Mayakoba—before shutting it down for the holidays and gearing up for January’s west coast swing—where Perez will play all six events.

Perez is coming off a 63rd place finish at the CIMB Classic at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Prior to that, Perez miss cuts in Las Vegas and Napa—while also squeezing in a trek to Scotland for a run at The Dunhill with Pebble Beach playing partner, Michael Lund.

Perez has played the OHL Classic three times since its inception in 2007. Last year brought a T69 finish. Prior to that, Perez finished T16 in 2013—highlighted by an opening-round 66—and finished T13 in 2007; the event’s inaugural year.

Regarding this week’s event at El Camaleon Golf Course—a 6,987-yard par 71—”The Chameleon” winds through “three distinct landscapes” according to PGATour.com; tropical jungle, dense mangroves and sand-lined oceanfront along the Riviera Maya.

Tee times have been announced for this week’s event; with Perez getting the early-late draw. He will go off of No. 10 at 7:20 a.m. on Thursday and No. 1 at 11:50 a.m. on Friday, where he’ll be paired with Shane Bertsch and Whee Kim both days.

GolfChannel will provide all coverage for this year’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba—live coverage from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, Thursday through Sunday with scattered replays throughout the week and weekend.
