75-73 At The Barclays; Headed To TPC Boston

Pat Perez shot a second round 73 at Ridgefield Country Club on Friday, missing the cut at The Barclays in the opening event of the FedExCup Playoffs. Perez got off to a rough start, with bogeys on one and four, before carding a birdie on the par-four fifth.

After hitting his tee shot 257 yards to the right rough, a stellar second shot found the green and left him a seven-footer for a three. One-over after five, Perez strung together six consecutive pars before a bogey-par-bogey stretch, putting him at plus-three on the day.

Perez responded with a birdie on the par-four sixteenth, hitting his tee shot 306 yards to the right fairway and his second shot 116 yards to the green, setting up a five-foot birdie putt. Back-to-back pars closed out the round.

Perez wrapped the afternoon averaging 276.8 yards driving distance, 64.29% in driving accuracy and 55.56% in greens-in-regulation.

Perez is currently 74th in the FedExCup standings and is currently projected to fall somewhere around 87th.

Top 100 will participate in next week’s Deutsche Bank Championship and Perez will have to make a run to crack the Top 70 for the following week’s BMW Championship in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado.
