Tee Times And Perez’ History At Colonial

Pat Perez is back in action at this week’s Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Perez played the Wells Fargo and THE PLAYERS Championships before sitting out the Byron Nelson in Dallas.

From Ft. Worth, Perez will travel to Ohio for The Memorial, followed by a Monday qualifier for the U.S. Open.

Perez enters this week ranked 101st in the Official World Golf Rankings and 41st in the FedExCup standings. He’s played Colonial nine times since his rookie season in 2002—a mixed bag of solid finishes and injuries, either causing withdrawal or missing the event all together.

Perez’ best finish came in 2007 when he went 66-67-69-66 for 4th place. A year later Perez captured 6th outright—highlighted by a final round 65. Perez sat out the event in 2009, but came back strong in 2010 with a T10th finish—making for three top tens in three tries in Ft. Worth.

Since then, Perez went T62nd (2011) and T63rd (2012) before withdrawing from the event last year, citing a sore shoulder. Perez also withdrew back in 2003 due to injury and missed the event in 2006, sidelined for upwards of two months with elbow tendonitis.

Perez drew the late/early tee times this week. Paired with Danny Lee and Brice Garnett, the trio goes off No. 10 at 12:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, followed by a 7:00 a.m. tee time on Friday, starting on No. 1.
