Callaway Pebble Beach Invitational Tee Times

Coming off a T69th finish at last week’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba, Pat Perez shot up to Northern California this week for the Callaway Pebble Beach Invitational.

Founded in 1972, the C.P.B.I. matches players from the PGA, LPGA, Champions and Tours. All players golf in head-to-head competition for the same purse, along with teams of four amateurs who are matched with a different pro each each day. (The event’s innovative tee-placement system, based on the average length of shots in each Tour makes this competition possible.)

Following the first 3 rounds of tournament play, there will be a 54 hole cut to 10 amateur teams, plus all ties, and the low 40 professionals and ties.

Practice rounds remain underway through today, with the official action starting off tomorrow, where Perez will play Pebble Beach at 10:12 a.m., going off No. 10. On Friday Perez will take on Del Monte at 9:28 a.m., again starting No. 10 and Saturday’s round will take place at Spyglass, going of No. 1 with an 8:11 a.m. tee time.

For Perez, the three-to-four-day event comes as a relatively pressure-free way to wrap his season. The Tour veteran is working through swing changes with coach Drew Steckel and will continue this off-season. This event also gives Perez an early look at Pebble Beach prior to the annual AT&T National Pro-Am, taking place the week of February 9th.

Perez is coming off a T7th finish at the 2014 event, firing 69-70-71-71 last season.
