Pat Perez Shoots New Callaway Golf Commercial

Pat Perez hit the road early Monday morning—leaving Scottsdale for Hilton Head—and breezing into town early evening for a commercial shoot with sponsor Callaway Golf.

This also marks Perez’ first solo on-air spot, which will officially release in May.

The shoot was focused on Callaway’s new SR3 Speed Regime ball which has been in Perez’s bag since the first of the year.

Over that under-three-month span, Perez has made 9-of-9 cuts between Honolulu and San Antonio.

After opening 2014 with a T8th finish at the Sony Open, the thirteenth-year veteran earned a T2nd finish at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, wrapped up the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am T7th and was 11th outright in his most-recent event—the Valero Texas Open late March.

There was also a T11th finale at the Waste Management Phoenix Open early February—all with the new SR3 on the tee and a fresh new arsenal of clubs in the bag.

Perez had some positive things to say about the new ball, the gear and his improved play this season—but that will all have to wait until the fine folks at Callaway Golf release the final cut sometime in May.

Stay tuned for more and visit for a breakdown of what PP has in his bag early this season. Throwback Thursday

Taking it back a few years for “Throwback Thursday” at Pat Perez earned a great response from the car community for his recently customized Nissan GT-R and prior to that, folks went nuts over his custom Toyota Scion iQ, emblazoned with Callaway Golf and Arizona State logos for the Phoenix Open.

Today’s #TBT pic is a custom bike that Ssinister Choppers built years back. An obvious “Child Of The 1980′s” and growing up watching CHiPs, a California Highway Patrol-themed chopper was a no-brainer for Perez.

The bike has since been retired and sits as a showpiece—especially considering that local law enforcement wasn’t a fan of a faux cop bike—but the CHP chopper remains a fan fave for friends and neighbors who drop by Casa de Perez for a look-see.

Patrick Gibbons Crafts Perez Sun Devils Belt

Whenever the talented Patrick Gibbons holes up in the lab, Pat Perez knows he’s in for a surprise.

With Perez home this week, not playing the Shell Houston Open, Gibbons dropped some maroon and gold on the former Arizona State Sun Devils standout. The result—the ASU-themed “Diablo Diamond” handmade belt.

“Gibby always gets it right,” said Perez. “We’ve been working together since late last year and everything he’s made for me has been tailored to my needs.”

Perez contined, “Each belt is a work of art and you can tell what’s gone into each piece. Patrick is truly a master of his craft and a lot of other Tour players are sitting up and taking notice.

Gibbons also shared his reasoning for going with the Devils-themed belt.

“Since Pat is arguably the biggest Arizona State fan I know and he’s always sporting the hand-painted python belt we made him last year, I thought a little variety would be nice,” explained Gibbons.

“This one was created with genuine lizard and should get some good looks on the road over the next couple of weeks.”

Perez is back in action mid-April, headed to Hilton Head to participate in the RBC Heritage.

Another one from the vault for “Throwback Thursday” at from two decades back, when Pat Perez was an up-and-comer who eventually chased down the 1993 Junior World title (at Torrey Pines) and the Maxfli PGA Junior (at Pinehurst) as a high school senior, a few years after this gem was snapped.
