Third Round 70 For Perez At Torrey South

Pat Perez and the rest of the PGA Tour played a lot of hurry-up-and-wait on Saturday as fog delayed the third round of the 2013 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, making for an action-packed Sunday, with both the third and fourth rounds being jammed into one day.

Perez teed off hole one on Torrey South at 7:50am PT on Sunday and rolled his way to a third round 72. After a par on one, PP came strong with a birdie on the par-four second. Three straight pars followed before a big time birdie on the par-five sixth.

Two-under at the turn, Perez birdied the par-three eleventh and didn’t card his first bogey of the day until a five on the par-four fifteenth.

Three straight pars closed on the round of two-under, leaving Perez solidly in the top ten and little time to catch his breath before a 1:50pm PT round four tee time.

Round four is underway, with Perez even at the turn, carding two birdies and two bogeys. He is currently T12th with nine to play, with most-likely a Monday morning finish in the cards.

Stay tuned to see how things wrap up at Torrey Pines this weekend. Follow the live leaderboard and PP’s scorecard down the stretch.

A Whole Lot Of Waitin’ Going On

Round Three of the 2013 Farmers Insurance Open was cancelled on Saturday due to fog. Play will resume at 7:00am PT, with hope for some win and rain in effort to do away with the dense fog.

Pat Perez is set to tee off at 7:50am PT on the first hole of Torrey Pines South Course.

Second Round 67 On Torrey Pines North

After a hard-fought first round on Torrey Pines South Course, Pat Perez took advantage of the North Course on Friday, going low and posting a second round 67 at this year’s Farmer Insurance Open.

Perez’s five-under put him at tied for twenty-second entering Saturday’s round, where he’ll go off the first tee on the South at 8:20am PT. Perez is paired with Justin Leonard and Roberto Castro.

Round Two began on the tenth tee and after two straight pars, PP birdied the par-three twelfth but a bogey on the par-four thirteenth quickly had him back at even. Perez picked up birdies on fifteen, eighteen and one, putting him at three-under.

Three straight pars on two, three and four were followed up by a birdie on the par-four fifth and a clutch birdie putt on nine brought Perez to five-under on the event, and the tourney, after an even first round on the South Course.

Opening Round 72 On Torrey Pines South

Pat Perez took on the grueling Torrey Pines South Course in the opening round at the Farmers Insurance Classic on Thursday. Perez was paired with John Rollins and Harris English and finished at even par, shooting a 72.

After three straight pars to start the round, Perez bogeyed the par-four fourth hole, but responded with birdies on the par-five sixth and par-three eighth.

One-under at the turn, a rough run with a bogey on the par-three eleventh and a double bogey on the par-four twelfth.

Plus-two with six to play, Perez birdied the par-five thirteenth to get back to one-under, but gave back a stroke with a bogey on the par-four fifteenth. Classic Pic At Rocky’s In Pacific Beach

My friend emailed me this gem today when he grabbed lunch down at Rocky’s Crown Pub in the Pacific Beach / Crown Point area. Bar none the best burger in San Diego. Hope to make it down that way before heading back to Arizona on Monday.

Either way, all-time classic pick of Jack, Arnie, Fuzzy and Lee. Need to master AP’s right-hand technique. – PP
